Setup Guide
Get LayerControl running in under 5 minutes.
Step 1
Download & Install LayerControl
Download the LayerControl Windows installer and run it on your PC. The installation takes under two minutes.
- Click the download button below
- Run LayerControlSetup.exe
- Follow the on-screen installer steps
- Launch LayerControl once installation is complete
⚠️ Windows may show a SmartScreen warning — click “More info” then “Run anyway”. LayerControl is safe to install.

Step 2
Activate Your License
When LayerControl launches for the first time, you’ll be prompted to enter your license key.
- Open the license activation email you received
- Copy your license key
- Paste it into the LayerControl activation screen
- Click Activate

Step 3
Attach LayerControl to MT5
Open MetaTrader 5 and attach the LayerControl EA to any chart.
- In MT5, open the Navigator panel on the left
- Expand Expert Advisors
- Find LayerControl in the list
- Drag it onto any open chart
- Enter the email address used to purchase LayerControl and your license key in the pop-up window, then click OK
- Make sure Allow Algo Trading is enabled in MT5
💡 The LayerControl panel will appear on the right side of your MT5 chart once the EA is attached.
Pro Tip
Set Up a Side-by-Side View
For the best trading experience, run LayerControl and MetaTrader 5 side by side in a single combined view.
- Open both LayerControl and MetaTrader 5
- Drag the LayerControl window to the top of your screen
- Drag the MT5 window to the top of your screen alongside it
- Windows will snap them into a split view automatically
- Drag the divider between the two applications all the way towards LayerControl to keep it as compact as possible while maximizing chart space in MT5
- You now have your charts and trade controls in one unified view
💡 This is how most LayerControl users trade — charts on the left in MT5, LayerControl on the right for instant trade control.

💻 If you’re trading on a laptop, set Windows display scaling to 100%. Higher scaling levels such as 125% or 150% may cause the LayerControl interface to appear oversized or misaligned.
